Ford GT Review

Inaugurated at the 2002 North American International Auto, the Ford GT40 concept became an instant sensation. And just 45 days after the vehicle was unveiled, Ford stunned the world again, officially announced the production version in the works. Ford GT40 concept car was created to celebrate the great era in history and look forward to great years to come.
Although the production of new cars and real racing car both share the mystique of the Ford GT name, they do not share a single dimension. The new car is more than 18 inches longer and stands nearly 4 inches taller. New line of harness and refine the best features of Ford GT history and express the identity of the car through modern proportion and surface development.
Ford GT production car, like the concept, casts visible, familiar slender than its namesake, yet every dimension, every curve and every line of cars is a unique reinterpretation of the original. This car has a long front overhang reminiscent of the 1960 race car. But its sweeping hood, subtle accent lines and high intensity discharge (HID) clearly strike a contemporary pose.
Front fenders curve over 18-inch wheels and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires. In the tradition of original Ford GT racers, the doors cut into the roof. Visible on the front edge of the rear quarter panel of the ball functional channel fresh air into the engine. Rear wheel wells, filled with 19-inch wheels and tires, define the rear of the car, while the accent line from the front cover and end up joining the profile of the car in the integration of "ducktail" spoiler.
The interior design incorporates the novel "ventilated seats" and instrument layout of the original car, with simple analog gauges and large tachometer. Modern version of the operating system switches to switch in the original key car.
Looking through the backlight, one finds the essence of the sports car version of the 5.4-liter supercharged V8 from Fords MOD. Finishing Touches "Ford Blue" cam covers, each with an aluminum coil cover imprinted with the words "Powered by Ford."
Chassis and Powertrain

Ford GT team knew this road car would require a rigid structure, like a racing car. Thus, they developed a framework of space, including all-aluminum, extrusions and castings stamping a few years. Space Frame aluminum hybrid frame based on the effective use of 35 extrusions, seven complex castings, two semi-solid formed castings and various stamped aluminum panels.
The new Ford GT is designed for the road, unlike the original racing cars from the 1960s which eventually led to a number of production road cars. However, a unique new race cars, according to the needs of engineering solutions - like engineering "lift" aerodynamics inherent in the design of the original car - a car that will clock in at more than 205 mph. The new Ford GT includes racing inspired ground effects channel under the rear fascia.
Ford GT features a new and unique technologies, including super-plastic formed aluminum body panels, floor panels glued rolls, friction stir welded center tunnel, a capless fuel filler panel door in one piece and an aluminum engine cover with one piece carbon fiber inner panel.
As historic racing cars, aluminum body panels without the pressure of the Ford GT. Instead of the steel bath or honeycomb-composite used in 1960, the Ford GT team developed a framework for all-new aluminum space as a base. This chassis has a length equivalent to control arms and coil-over spring damper to allow a low profile.
Braking is provided by four-piston calipers with aluminum monobloc Brembo cross-drilled and ventilated discs at all. When the canopy is open again, the rear suspension components and engine become the focal point of the car. Precision cast aluminum suspension components, 19-inch Goodyear tires - combined with the large presence of the V8 engine - create a striking appearance and communicate the performance credentials of the Ford GT.
Ford GT motor, based on the largest in Ford V8 modular engine family, features 85 percent new moving parts and produces 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. Both figures are comparable with the 7.0 liter engine that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966 and 1967.
Machinery 5.4-liter all-aluminum and fed by an Eaton screw compressor. It features 4-valve cylinder heads and forged components, including the crankshaft, H-beam connecting rods and aluminum pistons. Power is inserted into the road through a six-speed transaxle with a manual Ricardo helical limited slip differential.
Race History

The original Ford GT40 racer is a marvel of engineering and design of Ford shows dedication and perseverance. In recent years, under the leadership of Henry Ford II, the company built a program from scratch that reached the peak of international motor sport competition - and stayed there for four seasons running.
Perhaps the worlds largest - and glamorous - motorsport contest, Le Mans in 1960 showed signs of being a work of Ferrari, because Italy has been a leader in a number of endurance classes and events. But the Ford GT race car changed Le Mans forever, and today marks a new era for Ford Motor Company.
Large appliancesBrembo monobloc brake calipers, BBS wheels in one part (18-inch front, 19 inches rear), Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar, bucket seats in carbon fiber with leather seating surfaces are damaged, 6-speed manual transmission, AM / FM stereo with CD, bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, driver and front passenger air bags, ABS, leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel, passive anti-theft system, exterior mirrors, windows and door locks, air conditioning, remote keyless entry and window defroster back.

Review 3 in 1 l Hyundai Elantra Coupe Elantra GT and Veloster Turbo

Hyundai prides itself on efficiency, and this feature is now extended excerpts from media Car car manufacturer. Instead of showing one or two new models during a recent driving event, Hyundai has full power and gave us a trio of 2013 cars in just a matter of days.

All three models - the Coupe Elantra, Elantra GT, and Veloster Turbo - are themselves effective in terms of fuel economy, power and weight saving design, but they also stand out for their uniqueness by relative to one another and in a growing range of Hyundai. Heres what we found during our time behind the wheel.

2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe:
Since its redesign in 2011, the Elantra has become a formidable competitor in the compact segment, cleverly go toe to toe with pillars such as the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Ford Focus. The Elantra has been adopted by a wide variety of buyers looking for low fuel consumption, good-looking, low-cost sedan. If you want a coupe version, however, you were out of luck.

Which eventually changes for the 2013 model year with the introduction of the Coupe Elantra. With this stylish two door version of the Elantra, Hyundai hopes to broaden its base of buyers when the car reaches dealerships in the coming weeks with a starting price of $ 18,220, including destination.

Like his brother sedan, Elantra coupe is powered by a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder that makes 148 horsepower. The engine is another issue that is equally important to todays buyers: 40. As the Elantra sedan, the coupe is estimated to return 40 mpg on the road (in this case with a 6-speed manual transmission, 6-speed automatic get up to 39 mpg). During our test of the 2013 Elantra Coupe on countless miles of winding mountain roads and highways in the San Diego area, the focus of the car on the effectiveness was evident. The engine power is sufficient enough to satisfy most drivers, but not those who want a high speed measurement with their sporty coupe. And unlike the Honda Civic Coupe and Kia Forte Koup, only the engine will be offered in 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe. Steering feel was a bit disappointing, with only a vague idea of what was happening.

On a more positive note, the roomy 5 seater Coupe Elantra was quieter than expected, and the suspension was not as hard as the previous Hyundai models. The finish is good in our test model SE, which flaunts material soft to the touch and comfortable front seats have heating standard.

The verdict: The new Hyundai Elantra Coupe is not likely to win many drag races, but it is interesting in many other ways, not the least of which his eyes are good value and fuel economy figures .

2013 Hyundai Elantra GT
Like the Coupe, the GT is a new version of the Elantra. The Elantra GT 2013 is a compact five-door hatchback that essentially replaces the Elantra Touring. A look at the GT vs tourism, and it is easy to see why Hyundai decided to bring this European hatch to take the place of the Elantra Touring quite unsightly. "We thought this car just looked great, and there was some overlap (the Elantra Touring) between Tucson," said Hyundai Motor America President and CEO John Krafcik. The GT will be available in the coming weeks with a starting price of $ 19,170.

The GT looks, convenience and fuel economy (up to 39 mpg) nailed, but a pleasant surprise is also a lot of fun to drive. Although it uses the same 148-horsepower, 1.8-liter Elantra models other than the GT has a trick up its sleeve that makes the miles roll on much more attractive: a 3-mode selectable by the driver management function. With the touch of a button, you can choose between Comfort, Normal, Sport and settings to take the lead feel more or less firm. Although negligible difference felt between the first two, the Sport setting makes the GT in a different car, which skillfully carved mountain roads with aplomb. If your desires in a car lean toward the pragmatic, the GT has covered these bases, too, with a list of standard features that includes a cooled glove box, fold-flat rear seat and hidden storage.

The verdict: Combined with a forward shift 6-speed automatic transmission, the versatile and fun to drive GT quickly became our favorite Elantra.

2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo
The Veloster. Just the name sounds aggressive. But when one of Hyundai hatchback debuted in 2012, driving enthusiasts found it lacking in the department of power. Well designed and efficient, yes, but Hyundai youth motor 4 places with the door just looked weird third part of a sports car.

This will change when the Veloster Turbo will go on sale later this summer. To make the Veloster kind of fast car many envy, Hyundai has blessed this spicy version with a twin-scroll turbocharger. Although the small size of the engine 4-cylinder remains the same as in the regular Veloster - 1.6 liters - power figures have improved significantly: 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque for turbo, against figures 138 and 132, respectively, for the naturally aspirated Veloster.

On paper, the numbers look good. On the road, they are even better. It is as if the Veloster many of us wanted in the first place. 2013 Veloster Turbo is not fast supercar by any means, but it is much better suited for screwing a red light or passing on the highway. The time the turbo was not visible, even if it is a car with four-wheel drive, and it was couple. The suspension has not been modified, but even with the added power the Veloster Turbo remained composed of a variety of routes and even autocross course.

And the Veloster Turbo is fuel efficient. The car loses only 2 mpg against non-turbo, at least in form 6-speed manual transmission. With the gearshift lever short stroke, a Veloster Turbo collect up to 38 mpg on the highway, those with a 6-speed automatic transmission still earn a commendable 34 mpg.

The verdict: With a starting price of $ 22,725 - $ 4,500 more than the base model, but with more standard features like leather seats, heated front seats and a 450-watt audio system - the Veloster Turbo is one we choose in a heartbeat.

Ford Mustang GT

  •  Ford Mustang GT, 2013

The Ford Mustang - the icon of American performance and style - gets even more street swagger with a new design and a list of smart features that signal even more technology in the popular pony car.

More aggressive design
The new model Mustang, which goes on sale in spring 2012, offers a more aggressive design with a significantly more prominent grille. A more powerful splitter adds to that appearance. Functional heat extractors on the hood of the GT were specifically placed and designed to help move hot air out of the engine compartment and cool the engine.

Rocker panels running along the car are now body-color, making for a more premium appearance. The rear has been updated with a high-gloss black panel that connects the tail lamps. Keeping the sequential turn signal Ford Mustang is known for, the tail lamps also deliver a smoked appearance that matches the more purposeful look up front.

Also new for Ford Mustang design are standard high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps on both V6 and GT cars. Signature lighting plays into the technology upgrades for 2013 as well, with two individual light-emitting diode (LED) bars accentuating the front headlamps and three LED ropes forming the iconic three-bar rear lights.

The new Ford Mustang offers a revamped wheel lineup, ranging from the standard 17-inch wheels for V6 all the way up to 19-inch optional wheels on the GT and V6 Performance Package. With updated designs, the wheels also offer new finishes and touches for a more powerful appearance.

There are two different finishes on the 17-inch wheel - machined-aluminum and painted. Three optional V6 wheels include an 18-inch polished aluminum set, an updated 18-inch painted aluminum and a 19-inch painted wheel design, with a new theme for the V6 Performance Package.

The standard 18-inch painted aluminum wheel on both GT and premium GT is an evolution of the five-spoke design. The 19-inch optional GT wheel comes with a gloss-black finish with machined face for a more sinister look.

The new car also offers mirrors with pony projection light, which casts the image of Ford Mustangs famous pony emblem on the ground when the unlock button is activated. New colors - Deep Impact Blue and Gotta Have It Green - join the existing sporty colors for 2013.

Also new on V6 and GT are optional leather-trimmed or cloth Recaro® seats that are currently available on the Shelby GT500 and Boss 302. Designed to enhance the high-performance driving experience, lateral bolsters in the cushion and seatback are used to ensure drivers have the support needed on the track during hard cornering and to deliver a comfortable ride.

The seats also come complete with integrated head restraints with ample room for drivers and passengers wearing helmets when at the track. Openings on the seatback are included for customers looking to create performance setups for their car on track days. The Recaro seats are the result of a global team effort led by SVT along with the Ford Mustang engineering group in North America, Team RS in Europe and Recaro.

New driving technologies
The 2013 Mustang with 5.0-liter engine now deliver 420 horsepower. Based on learnings from developing the high-output 444-horsepower Ford Mustang Boss 302, the team was able to adapt several of the designs to the 5.0-liter.

The new Ford Mustang can be specified with a six-speed SelectShift Automatic transmission. This advanced control strategy offers the driver a choice between fully automatic operation and manual control. The system is controlled with a selector button on the side of the shifter. The shifter has been upgraded for 2013 with more modern style and improved accessibility.

This capability makes the Mustang experience sporty yet smooth. Unlike some competitors transmissions, SelectShift wont second-guess the driver with an override shift. With SelectShift, manual control is truly manually controlled.

A new option, the GT Track Package, debuts for 2013 for customers who want to push their Ford Mustang even further at the track. Available only on manual GT Mustangs with a 3.73 axle, the package gives track enthusiasts an engine cooler, upgraded radiator, performance friction brake pads and the same Torsen differential thats on Mustang Boss 302. The package includes everything in the current Brembo Brake Package, with 14-inch vented front discs, unique 19-inch alloy wheels and summer performance tires.

Other optional package updates for 2013 include offering the Brembo Brake Package on both manual and automatic transmissions on Ford Mustang GT. The V6 Performance Package is now available on automatic Mustangs for the first time.

Hill start assist makes its debut on manually equipped Mustangs. The feature helps keep the car from rolling backward, making it easier to pull away when on a slope or hill. With the brake pedal pressed, if sensors detect the car is on a slope, the system is automatically activated. Brake pressure is held in the braking system and the car remains stationary on the slope for up to two seconds after the driver releases the brake pedal.

A new 4.2-inch LCD productivity screen that lets customers access information related to fuel economy and vehicle performance also makes its debut on Mustang. The screen is navigated through a five-way control button located on the steering wheel and offers Track Apps, which delivers performance metrics for drivers right from the factory. The app measures g forces, shows acceleration times in quarter-mile and 0-60 increments, and displays braking times, complete with automatic and countdown starts.

The 2013 Ford Mustang also offers customers two new audio systems for even better sound quality for incredible clarity and crispness. The optional Shaker system comes with eight speakers and pumps out 370 watts of power. The upgraded Shaker Pro offers nine speakers and delivers 550 watts of power.

Infiniti M35h GT

  •  Infiniti M35h GT, 2013

The choice for the worlds fastest-accelerating hybrid saloon has just got easier. A new Infiniti M35h GT version of the record-breaking Infiniti V6 saloon delivers all the performance and low emissions for which the M35h is known - but at a considerably more attractive starting position. The additional model at £41,101 costs £3,970 less than the Infiniti M35h GT Premium which until now was the sole version available.

The Infiniti M35h GT arrives in Infiniti Centres from July 2012, and in common with every new M the line-up benefits from a highly competitive new price structure as well as several enhancements, including a soft-closing boot function.

The additional entry model ensures Infinitis "no compromise" hybrid approach reaches as large a market as possible. A recent reduction in CO2 emissions further cuts running costs with both versions of the M35h falling below the important 160g/km tax threshold.

Previously the navigation system was available only as part of a package with 16-speaker Bose surround sound. But, in response to customer wishes, a new separate option of Connectiviti+, Infinitis navigation/entertainment system, has been introduced on GT and S models at a highly competitive £1800 - a price that also includes one of the most sophisticated climate control systems available, Forest Air.

The option, if taken, will add to the famously generous specification expected from any Infiniti product. On an M these include such items as semi-aniline leather seat facings, heated and ventilated front seats, bi-Xenon headlights with Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS), alloy wheels and White Ash wood trim finished with real silver powder.

As before, M30d S, M30d S Premium and M37 S Premium add a sporting focus with larger alloy wheels, 4-Wheel Active Steering, and sports suspension, brakes and seats, along with black lacquer trim in the cabin.

Well established in the range, Infinitis top-selling Premium models are equipped with Infinitis complete suite of safety and convenience technologies including Blind Spot InterventionTM, Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Prevention (LDP).

The overall quality of the Infiniti M has also been recognised within the American J.D. Power Initial Quality Study. The Infiniti M came top of the Midsize Premium Car segment ahead of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Bentley Continental 2013 GT Speed Is A Car Without Compromise

Bentley Continental GT Speed 2013, you guessed it, is a machine. With its W12 engine, brakes carbon-ceramic that seem to have no limit, a cooling system for the gearbox, differential and engine oil, its top speed of 330 km / h, his lightning acceleration , luxury and the lines of his body, she finds herself in the category of exceptional cars and capable of outstanding performance. Consume with great moderation!

Bentley

Mechanical of Bentley Continental 2013 GT Speed

When we suggested his Bentley GT and GTC’s, we thought we had seen everything well with its mechanical 567 horsepower. And yet, the manufacturer shall provide with its British Bentley Continental 2013 GT Speed and comes to us with the same 6-liter W12 engine twin-turbocharged dual overhead cam head that develops, this time, 616 horsepower at 6,000 revolutions per minute. Moreover, the torque reaches 590 lb-ft at just 2,000 rpm. And this car 2320 pounds is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in just over 4 seconds. In fact, it is quite insane! This is the only production vehicle ever produced British manufacturer. If you ever drive one, do not forget to breathe!

To manage the rage of the beast of the road, we used a ZF 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters behind the wheel and all-wheel drive. This box changes gear four times faster than a standard box and two times faster than a dual-clutch gearbox.

Bentley

Regarding braking, do not forget to mention that as an option, the Bentley Continental 2013 GT Speed offers brake discs and carbon-ceramic discs both before the greatest of all the automobile industry to 16 , 5 inches in diameter. On these discs, there are 8 piston calipers. Series, the car uses hardened steel discs 15.9 inches. The rear discs are 13.1 inches with carbon 4-piston calipers.

The suspension of the Bentley Continental 2013 GT Speed is firmer and has been lowered by 2.5 inches. At the rear, when one reaches the 145 km / h, a rear spoiler extends automatically to create a vacuum and paste the Bentley ground.

Bentley

Body and interior of Bentley Continental 2013 GT Speed

To distinguish the GT Speed GT or GTC, you must have a sharp eye. The exterior changes are subtle. For example, where the GT uses 20-inch wheels, the Speed go with 21 inches. In addition, engineers have reworked their exhausts. Inside, there are many aluminum accents: the pedals, levers selection box and the emblem of the brand. There are also carbon fiber accents. In the cockpit, it is sumptuous and it’s quiet, even when traveling at speeds not permitted.

Bentley Continental 2013 GT Speed is a luxury car and performance that is anything but compromise. And at a price that is much closer to $ 220,000, you will definitely want me not to be talked about fuel consumption …

Kia shows new Cross GT Concept in Chicago

The Kia Cross GT Concept made its debut Thursday at the Chicago Auto Show. The concept is the next version of the Kia GT that we saw in 2011.

The Cross was penned in the Kia Design Center America in Irvine, Calif., the same shop that drew up the Trackster, KV7 and Soulster concepts and the 2014 Kia Forte.

The Cross GT is a crossover with a long wheelbase, short overhangs and a wide stance. Kia says the Cross GT is of the same bloodline as the Sorento SUV, but with an additional 15.7 inches of wheelbase, 8.4 inches of length, and almost 5 inches of width. The roofline, though, is lower.
