2012 Nissan Micra

2012 Micra Nissan is in the context of Asian competitors such as Hyundai i10, Kia Picanto and Suzuki Splash move. We have now driven the Japanese compact car with manual transmission and more powerful than the two single petrol Tekna package to the sample.

2012 Nissan Micra

Exterior and Interior
Since March 2011, the date, the only five-door edition offered commercially. The only around 3.8 meters long fourth generation of women in India is favorite from the band, driving less idiosyncratic, to suggest a total of more pleasing. Their processing works befitting for a tiny tot of this kind with a lot of plastic and a headliner that one should not push too hard. Even the back is still all Nissan Micra: View of the front end of this wee. lots of space available. Fit into the luggage compartment from 265 to just over 1130 liters, which can easily expand the storage capacity. The operation is easy.

Engine & Environment
In the tested three-cylinder, it is a by no means excessively noisy 1.2-liter with 72/98 kW / hp. The compressor-charged direct injection makes the little Japanese fast pace of just under 180. In our case, a very neat full five-speed manual transmission has delegated the power to the wheels, this alternative does a CVT continuously variable automatic. In conjunction with the fuel-saving Serien-Stopp/Start-Funktion found in the consumption mix in a little over l so at least in the data sheet.

Dynamics & Safety
Even the city-and short-haul routes out of this spontaneously responsive Nissan Micra still pushes forward rather quickly. Even the standard chassis overall performance of the lightweight front-wheel drive coupler is very tight. The steering could still give more direct feedback. The brakes are working properly. Nissan Micra: Into the luggage compartment from 265 to fit into something over 1,130 liters. Stability control, side and head airbags and seat-holders already carry for the standard occupant protection.

Series & Specials
The test model is available in three equipment. The Tekna package as most are about Bluetooth interface, including hands-free, on-board computer, Fahrlichautomatik, cruise control, including limiter, climate control, navigation, CD/MP3-Radio, Parkquide with parking sensors rear, rain sensor, leather steering wheel, glass roof, roof spoiler and 15-inch alloy wheels included. Too bad that the steering column is height adjustable.

Nissan e NV200 Concept 2012

  • Nissan e-NV200 Concept, 2012

The innovative Nissan e-NV200 Concept, which made it world debut at the 2012 North American Auto Show in Detroit, serves as more evidence of Nissans leadership position in the zero-emission automotive industry. Based on the popular Nissan NV200 multi-usage vehicle, the Nissan e-NV200 Concept previews a near-future production version of a full electric vehicle designed to provide businesses or families with flexible, roomy interior space, while achieving a dramatic CO2 footprint reduction.

"With its no gas, no tailpipe, no emissions powertrain, the Nissan e-NV200 Concept combines a quiet, comfortable driving experience with a large, highly versatile, functional interior space within a compact overall body length," said Hideto Murakami, corporate vice president, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. "A potential game changing vehicle in its segment, the battery capacity will support a driving range similar to the Nissan LEAF, while payload and cargo space will offer the same level as the current NV200. The production version would be targeted mainly at businesses, but also at private users or families in major regions."

As a potential mass production vehicle, Nissan e-NV200 Concept would also provide a reduction in operating costs compared to current internal combustion engine vehicles.

NV200 Functionality, Nissan EV Identity
The Nissan e-NV200 Concept exterior starts with a foundation of a production Nissan NV200, then adds strong visual cues from the breakthrough Nissan LEAF EV. The versatile and highly acclaimed NV200 light commercial vehicle won the 2010 International Van of the Year award for Nissan, as well as the 2011 Universal Design Award from Universal Design GMbH, an organization dedicated to promoting the convergence of design and the emerging importance of customer needs. On top of those, it received the CDV of the 2010 Year award in China, while also establishing its presence in Japan as segment leader with a wide-ranging lineup that includes a taxi version.

The Nissan e-NV200 Concepts EV-style identity starts with its front "face." The wide hood is accented by a large central charging port door, the blue-accented Nissan badge, and sweeping headlights with LED illuminated accents. The exterior is highlighted by the interaction of the strong main character lines and its broad body surfaces. Large front windows and long rear greenhouse combine with a pair of large glass roof panels to create an airy, open interior environment. The exterior is painted in a customized color, following the concept of the Nissan LEAFs Aqua Blue, which expresses a sense of environmental friendliness.

Inside, the Nissan e-NV200 Concept interior depicts a clean, modern Nissan EV identity through use of the EV meters, blue colored accents and bright interior color palette, while also retaining the NV200s strong functional feeling. The Nissan e-NV200 Concept interior also features advanced telematics and a flat C-cluster display that resembles and responds to user input like a tablet computer.

Zero Emission Drivetrain
The Nissan e-NV200 Concept shares its major drivetrain components with the innovative Nissan LEAF.

Silent, zero emission power is supplied is by a lithium-ion battery composed of 48 compact modules and a high-response 80kW AC synchronous motor that generates 207 lb-ft (280 N-m/rpm) of torque. Unlike a conventional internal combustion engine, the motor delivers 100% of its torque from start with immediate response bringing excellent acceleration and smooth, comfortable driving feel.

And, like the Nissan LEAF, the Nissan e-NV200 Concept offers a highly responsive, fun-to-drive experience that is in keeping with what consumers have come to expect from traditional, gasoline-powered vehicles. In line with the Nissan LEAF, the Nissan e-NV200 Concept offers excellent projected fuel economy - a critical factor for commercial vehicle operators.

Real World Testing Underway
In addition to the global debut of the Nissan e-NV200 Concept, evaluations of prototype NV200-based electric vehicles are currently being conducted to provide real-world feedback from delivery and other companies in various global markets. The initial trial was conducted in summer 2011 by the Japan Post Service, which used a single prototype for delivery and collection duties in Yokohama, Japan. Additional testing began in London last month in conjunction with FedEx. Feedback will help Nissan tailor future battery-powered light commercial vehicles to better fulfilll exact customer requirements.

Nissans New York "Taxi of Tomorrow"
As a true global product, the Nissan NV200 is produced in Japan, Europe and China, and is currently available in 40 countries. Future launches are planned for North America and India. Undoubtedly its most visible role to date will begin in late 2013 when the Nissan NV200 becomes the foundation for New York Citys new designated yellow cab, serving an estimated 600,000 passengers a day.

Selected over other global manufacturers for its combination of compact exterior and maximum interior space in a multi-year "Taxi of Tomorrow" competition, the all-new Nissan NV200 Taxi design reflects the input of hundreds of taxi owners and drivers, and thousands of passengers who shared their ideas and priorities with Nissan designers and engineers.

Interior features planned for the Nissan NV200 Taxi include a spacious cargo area to accommodate luggage for four passengers, sliding doors with entry step and grab handles for easy entry and exit, passenger-controlled rear-seat heat/air conditioning with a Grape Polyphenol filter to improve cabin air quality, enhanced interior materials intended to help passenger cabin smell fresher, and breathable, anti-microbial, easy-to-clean and environmentally friendly seat upholstery.

Nissan Sentra Review And Prices

The 2013 Nissan Sentra is one of the latest version of 2013 Nissan. A 2013 Nissan Sentra will be the first all-new Sentra since model-year 2007. The 2013 Nissan Sentra will return like a four-door compact sedan and may give a four-door-hatchback body style. Itll have new styling, abilities, plus much more efficient engines.

The remodeled 2013 Nissan Sentra marks the seventh design generation from the Sentra, a vehicle that to Nissans discredit is continuing to grow dowdy and be an also-went in the vehicle class thats filled with options that provide stylish styling, the most recent high-tech gear, and 40-mpg highway fuel useage. The 2013 Nissan Sentra will stay front-wheel drive.

The 2013 Nissan Sentra could follow within the tire tracks in the recently introduced 2012 Versa subcompact and finish track of drowsy rounded forms with little emotional appeal. An even more likely possibility is the look in the 2013 Nissan Sentra will mimic the styling from the forthcoming 2013 Nissan Altima. Prices for your 2013 Nissan Sentra werent launched prior to this review. However, Nissan will probably be compelled to keep any 2013 Nissan Sentra cost increases low to be able to even retain the line. This indicates basics-cost range for that 2013 Nissan Sentra price of $16,850-$21,400. Calculating the bottom price of the 2013 Nissan Sentra base model around $16,850, expect the mainstream S and SR models to start around $18,770.

Nissan Tiida 2012

  • Nissan Tiida, 2012

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. premiered an all-new hatchback model at the 2011 Auto Shanghai. This new model will be the new generation Nissan Tiida in China.

The Nissan Tiida hatchback, introduced in China in 2005 from Dongfeng Nissan, is a pioneer in the compact hatchback market in China, selling 85,000 units in 2010. Sold globally in 165 countries, the Nissan Tiida is the best-selling model in the current Nissan product lineup.

The all-new Nissan Tiida is targeted toward young families who value quality life. With appeal points such as premium and agile styling, class leading comfort and PURE DRIVE revolutionary powertrain, the new model will continue to be a leading model in the compact hatchback market in China. Nissan will also be the first Japanese automaker to introduce a turbo-charged engine in the Chinese market, with the introduction of the new Tiidas turbo series.

Based on a keyword Fluid & Brisk, the new Nissan Tiida delivers a new, premium feeling with a smooth, streamlined bodyside, well-balanced proportions and advanced-design exterior parts, such as grilles and lamps with refined details. To further enhance its spacious interior, which has been well received in the previous generation Tiida hatchback, the wheelbase length has been increased by 100mm to ensure best-in-class rear knee room. With increased length and breadth of the front window and optimally-shaped side mirrors for ease of use, visibility is significantly improved contributing to stress-free driving.

Interior design is developed using another keyword - Calm & Refined. With a comfortable interior to embrace the driver and passengers, an elegant and precisely-crafted meter, a floating center cluster, and wide, super-soft armrests, the car provides premium space offering comfortable feeling in driving.

Driving comfort is also realized by soft, comfortable seats with low vibration which brings about less fatigue during driving.

Installed is a reliable, easy-to-handle, fuel-efficient Nissan HR16DE engine which has been employed in a number of Nissan vehicles. In addition, a range of PURE DRIVE low-emission technologies has also been added, such as latest dual injectors that provides far greater combustion efficiency by finely splashing fuel and Xtronic CVT with an auxiliary transmission. Select models of the all-new Nissan Tiida fully meet the stringent third phase fuel-efficiency requirements in China (draft data issued in Nov. 2009).

This new model, to be produced in the Dongfeng Nissan Huadu Plant in Guangzhou,  released in late May 2011. Followed by its introduction in China, it will be launched in approximately 130 countries around the world by 2014.

Nissan Prices New Sentra

Youd be forgiven if you thought that Nissan had forgotten about the Sentra. The Garage sampled a 2012 Sentra SR earlier this year, and found it to be competent, but a design that lacked excitement, and worse, was really showing its age. For 2013, Nissan has taken the wraps off the seventh generation, all-new Sentra. For such an important car, Nissan has been extremely low-key about the launch of the newest Sentra.

While the outgoing Sentra looked hopelessly outdated, the new car is a breathe of fresh air with a level of grace and sophistication never before seen on the normally pedestrian Sentras of yore. The new Sentra is also 5% lighter than the outgoing car, yet is larger with more interior space while delivering better fuel economy. All Sentras share the same 1.8L four cylinder, rated at 130hp. Overall fuel economy is 34MPG.

The 2013 Nissan Sentra S starts at $15,990USD with a six-speed manual transmission (all other Sentras have a CVT). Nissan is offering seven variants of the Sentra, which seems like overkill between S, SV, SR, and SL trims along with an FE+ fuel economy trim level to further confuse matters. The top-spec Sentra SL tops out at a still reasonable $19,760. Keeping up with the latest in-car tech is a must, and Nissan will offer the Sentra with NissanConnectSM with Navigation, Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant, Point of Interest GPS powered by Google, and Pandora radio. Other available features include a rear view monitor, premium Bose audio, and dual-zone auto climate control.

The latest Sentra is by far the prettiest and most advanced yet, and its handsome lines will surely lead buyers to the dealers door when it becomes available mid-October, 2012. Why Nissan is keeping so quiet about one of the most enduring models in its line is a mystery to me, but we bid adieu to the old, archaic Sentra, and welcome the new model. Be sure to check in for a full review of the 2013 Nissan Sentra in the coming months!

Nissan rolls out Platinum edition X Trail in the UK

Nissan makes a whole mess of different crossovers, and not just the ones we get here in North America. Overseas, the Japanese automaker has even more, like the Qashqai, the Koleos (sold by sister-company Renault) and the vehicle you see here, the X-Trail.

Not to be confused with the Xterra, the X-Trail is a small but rugged-looking little ute built atop the same platform that underpins the Rogue and the Sentra. Though its not exactly what youd call cheap, it is more affordable than most other crossovers on the market overseas, but Nissan is now bridging that gap by offering a new premium version called the Platinum edition.

The special model is visually distinguished by the extra protection plates on the bumpers front and rear, and the chrome side steps and door moldings. Inside the Platinum gets leather trim and motorized, heated front seats, touch-screen infotainment system and a back-up camera displayed in the rearview mirror.

A 2.0-liter diesel pulls all those luxury touches along with 170 horsepower, in a package limited to 200 examples selling for about £30,000 (depending on whether you take the automatic or manual transmission option). Thats nearly $47k at current exchange rates, and includes the UKs relatively high Value-Added Tax.

2012 Nissan Leaf

Information Specification Image Review 2012 Nissan Leaf
Introduced just last year, the Nissan Leaf was the first full-electric vehicle to be marketed to mainstream American buyers. In many ways, it succeeds in being just as accessible as its manufacturer intends. The Leaf has a spacious cabin, with a tall, airy greenhouse that comfortably seats four full-size adults and provides excellent visibility. On the road, the car boasts peppy acceleration and, were it not for the lack of engine noise, youd probably be convinced youre driving one of any number of gas-powered models. And though the Leafs cargo capacity is on the small side, this Nissan has hatchback utility in its favor.

Once you factor in the $7,500 federal tax credit (residents of certain states are eligible for additional credits as well), the 2012 Nissan Leafs pricing is quite affordable. A 220-volt home-charging station that costs $2,200 is a must-have, but the financial blow is softened by a tax rebate as well. Charging the Leaf costs less than paying for gas, though the picture may be less favorable in states with tiered electricity rates, depending on your usage.

At the end of the day, however, electric cars come with certain compromises. The EPA rates the Leafs range at just 73 miles, a number we essentially verified during a six-month test of the Leaf. This isnt a problem on shorter commutes, but it presents challenges on lengthier trips, since the number of charging stations is currently quite limited. And charging takes quite a bit longer than the minute or two youd spend filling a gas tank; plan on this process taking about 30 minutes at a quick-charge commercial station and 4-8 hours with the home charger. Of course, those are both rare, so for the moment youre likely looking at a recharge time of twice that or more with a standard electric outlet.

Officially rated at 99 mpge (miles per gallon equivalent), the city rating is an incredible 106 mpg while the highway rating is 92. That may not sound significant, but when every mile counts, it is. Crawling along in gridlock the next day it was reassuring to see the mileage range number on the dash sit idle mile after mile. But on the highway the digits would often count down like the dying seconds on a scoreboard, a rather frightening distraction as I attempted to summon Jedi-like powers to slow the countdown to what I foresaw as my inevitable destination – stranded on the side of the road.

In fact, I became so paranoid of the quickly depleting energy supply that I switched off the climate control in order to conserve as much battery life as possible. As silly as that may sound, within the Leaf’s Carwings telematics system there’s a screen that will tell you how much range you can gain by doing just that. It’s not insignificant either, totaling three whole miles on this journey. A mild inconvenience on an ideal day, my worry of reaching home was so severe I did so even with the mercury sitting at the freezing point.

Nearing my house and off the highway the range reading ceased its recessionary stock market-like fall at 17 miles and my emotions switched from worry to a cocksure attitude as I decided to drop in to the grocery store – warming my now frozen toes in the process.

For 2012, Nissan added the optional winter package as standard equipment on all Leafs, including electric warming for the battery pack, heated front and rear seats, and even a heated steering wheel. For the higher-level SL model, it added a DC quick-charging port as standard equipment (previously optional), which allows an 80-percent battery recharge in 30 minutes at rare public DC charging stations.

Along with the upgrades came higher prices, unfortunately. The base 2012 Nissan Leaf starts at $35,200, and the Leaf SL model at $37,250. Most owners are likely to qualify for a $7,500 Federal income-tax credit for purchase of an electric car, though Nissan also offers a $349 monthly lease on the car that wraps the tax credit into the price. Additional regional and corporate incentives may be available as well.

You could view the 2012 Nissan Leaf as the first vehicle for a new century of electric cars. Its on the market now, its fully a "real car" with modern features and conveniences, and it gets high safety ratings from the usual agencies. It offers an excellent demonstration why plug-in cars have a bright future--though it will take decades for plug-in cars to become a noticeable fraction of the 1 billion vehicles on the planet, and well not likely see the "end of gasoline" in any of our lifetimes.
